Also looking for an RX3 engine crossmember, like the one in the picture below:

no motor mounts.. but i can get you a set of volvo rubber mounts from the 160 series as they are stiffer than the regular 140 series and are better for the performance to hold the engine in place.. i doubt you not gonna run a stock engine.. what gearbox are you gonna use? you also need the brake and clutch assembly from an 818 as you neet to convert to hydralic clutch.. and there is little fabricating to the crossmember for the gearbox.. the motormounts cost 11€/each
i have one 323 RWD myself.. that i had a ported 13B in.. had fun thru holland on my way to UK for a mazda meet for about 8 yr\'s ago i think it was.. [8D][]

Thankyou for being so helpful.
At the moment, I\'m busy collecting parts for the conversion. So far I have 2 complete 12a motors from a 1982 RX7.
I also have 2 gearboxes, 1 1982 RX7 and 1 from a TII RX7.
I will start the conversion using a standard engine and build a turbo onto the other.
The last thing I need to find is the engine crossmember. As you know, it bolts straight into the 323.
The Volvo ideas you guys use are new ideas to me, I\'ve seen a few cars using the rear axle...are they strong enough?
I saw some Volvo axles at the local wrecking yard today and if they are strong (and the gearing is good) I might just have to put one of them in as well.

well.. about the volvo stuff they hold up pretty good as.. easy and cheap here.. there is people here that run 400+HP on the strip and go pretty fast.. they are good to use since the axels are the same for both side\'s.. what are you going to use the car for? street legal? it is wery easy to fit the volvo 240 brakes to the stock front suspention to have wented discs.. i am not sure on the spindle that are on the 323 models are the same as the 818.. the 818 is good as the volvo\'s small bearing fits on the spindle witout any fabricating.. but the big bearing need\'s an buching fabricated.. and new brake caliper moutings..
when you build the car.. a good advice is to build it with the T2 gearbox as they are different to fit in than the earlier rx-7 models.. it is bigger and need more space up in the tunnel and you need to do some cutting.. you also need the prop shaft to as there is different input yoke\'s on them.. you also need to modifie the gearlevel location to fit in the stock place..

Must say that i really like your project, it´s so cool with an old RWD Mazda 323 with the one and only kind of engine. Let´s go Rotary!
